What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies can include local storage, software development kits, pixels, and device identifiers. Some cookies are strictly necessary to make the site work. Others help us understand usage, remember choices, or measure performance.
How we use them
CMM uses cookies and similar tools to keep the website secure, support sign-in and account features, store your cookie choice, remember session choices, and — only if you accept — run product analytics so we can see which parts of the site work and which do not.
We do not run advertising cookies, we do not sell your data, and we do not record your screen or session.

Third-party technologies
The following third parties may set or read cookies or similar identifiers when you use the CMM website:
- Clerk — sign-in, sessions and account security. Strictly necessary.
- Google reCAPTCHA — spam and abuse prevention on enquiry forms. Strictly necessary.
- PostHog — product analytics, hosted in the EU. Loaded only after you consent.
Other providers support the platform behind the scenes without setting cookies in your browser: Supabase (database), Sanity (editorial content), Cloudflare R2 (image storage), Resend (email) and Twilio (WhatsApp and SMS). Stripe is integrated for future billing but is dormant and processes no payments today.
Analytics: what PostHog receives
If you accept analytics, we send PostHog which pages you visit, which filters and listings you interact with, and how far you get through an enquiry form. For enquiry forms we send only counts and yes/no flags — for example “a phone number was provided” — never your name, email address, phone number or the free-text notes you write.
Session recording and screen replay are switched off. PostHog processes this data on our behalf as a processor, on EU infrastructure.
How long cookies remain on your device
Some cookies are session-based and disappear when you close your browser. Others persist for a set period or until you delete them. The exact duration depends on the cookie’s purpose, the configuration of the relevant tool, and whether it is essential, preference-based or analytics-related.
How to manage cookies and withdraw consent
- Choose Accept or Decline on the cookie banner shown on your first visit. Declining means PostHog is never loaded at all.
- Change your choice at any time, in either direction. Turning analytics off opts PostHog out immediately; turning it on loads it from that point. Neither is retrospective — we cannot collect what was not captured, and nothing already captured is deleted by turning it off.
- You can also clear this site's stored data in your browser, which removes the saved choice, the PostHog cookies, and the analytics identifier.
- Adjust your browser settings to block, restrict or delete cookies generally.
Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the website from functioning correctly, including sign-in, security and account features.
Changes to this policy
We may update this page if the site’s technology stack, consent model or legal requirements change. Material changes will be reflected with a new revision date on this page.
