Cyprus Motors & Marine
For newcomers

Leasing a car in Cyprus as an expat.

You have just moved, you need a car this month, and every provider quotes on a different basis. Tell us what you need once and we will match you with Cyprus leasing companies that can actually supply it.

What it costs you
€0

Buyers are never charged. We are paid by the leasing companies we introduce you to, and we do not publish provider names until you ask for a quote.

How it works

One enquiry, compared across the market.

01

Tell us what you need.

Budget, monthly ceiling, how long you are staying, whether you need an automatic, and which district you are based in. Two minutes, no account required.

02

We match you to vetted providers.

We compare what is actually available across Cyprus leasing companies and route your enquiry to the ones that genuinely fit — not to whoever paid the most.

03

You get quotes, then decide.

Providers come back to you directly with terms. Nothing is signed through us and you are never charged for the introduction.

Before you sign

The things expats get caught by.

Lease or buy?

If you are in Cyprus for a fixed contract of one to three years, leasing usually beats buying once you account for resale friction, road tax and the cost of an unfamiliar used market.

What is normally included

Most Cyprus leases bundle servicing, road tax and roadside assistance. Insurance is sometimes bundled and sometimes not — always confirm which, because it moves the monthly figure considerably.

Deposits and mileage

Expect an upfront deposit and an annual mileage cap. Excess-mileage charges are the single most common surprise on an expat lease, so agree a realistic cap up front.

Paperwork as a newcomer

You will generally need a passport or ID, proof of a Cyprus address, and a licence a provider will accept. EU licences are accepted; some providers ask non-EU holders for an international permit.

VAT and pricing

Advertised prices in Cyprus normally include 19% VAT. When you compare quotes, check that every figure is on the same basis before deciding which is cheaper.

Where you actually drive

Cyprus drives on the left. Distances are short, so a small efficient car covers most needs — the Nicosia–Limassol–Paphos corridor is where most expat mileage happens.

Next step

Tell us what you need and we'll do the comparing.

Two minutes. No account, no cost, and your details go only to the providers that match what you asked for.
