What you can ask for
- Access: a copy of the personal data we hold about you and information about how it is used.
- Rectification: correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
- Erasure: deletion of personal data where the GDPR gives that right.
- Restriction: temporary suspension of processing in certain situations.
- Objection: objection to processing based on legitimate interests, including certain analytics or marketing uses.
- Portability: a copy of certain data in a structured, commonly used format where the right applies.
- Withdrawal of consent: where processing depends on consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time.
How to submit a request
- Email privacy@cyprus-motors-marine.com.
- Use the subject line “GDPR request”.
- Include your full name, account email or enquiry email, and the type of request you are making.
- Tell us enough detail to identify the relevant account, enquiry, deal alert or communication history.
We may ask for additional information if we need to confirm identity, narrow the scope of the request, or protect another person’s data.
Response times
We will usually respond within one month of receiving a valid request. If a request is especially complex or we receive a large number of requests, the GDPR may allow an extension of up to two further months. If that happens, we will let you know within the initial month.
Identity checks
We do not want to release or delete data for the wrong person. If needed, we may ask you to verify ownership of the relevant email address, account or enquiry, or to provide limited supporting information. We will only ask for what is reasonably necessary to confirm identity.
When we may not be able to comply in full
Some requests may be limited by law. For example, we may need to retain certain information for legal claims, security investigations, tax or accounting obligations, or to protect the rights of other people. If we cannot comply fully, we will explain the reason unless we are legally prevented from doing so.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we handled a request, please tell us first so we can try to resolve it. You also have the right to complain to Commissioner for Personal Data Protection (Cyprus) or another competent supervisory authority.
